The Fresno State Flute Ensemble, under the direction of Professor Nuby, has been invited to perform at the 52nd Annual Flute Association Convention in San Antonio, Texas. 

This fantastic young ensemble will be performing in August 2024!

About

Angelica Nuby got her start in Fresno, CA, as a graduate of Clovis West High School. Upon graduation, she received the John Philip Sousa award and a full scholarship/grant to attend the Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific as a Music Performance major. During her time at UOP, she was principal flute of the wind ensemble under the direction of Eric Hammer, and also had the opportunity to perform as a soloist, performing Howard Hanson’s “Serenade”. During her undergraduate years, she was a member of the San Francisco Youth Symphony, having worked under conductors Alasdair Neale and Michael Tilson Thomas. She also performed with the Dave Brubeck Quartet and the Grateful Dead while she was pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Music performance.
